Hippotherapy is a physical. occupational, and speech treatment strategy that utilizes equine movement. It is used as part of an integral treatment program to achieve functional outcomes. Children will learn and/or improve their riding ability in an environment that promotes self-accomplishment.

In June 2005, Dimensions opened its Equestrian Center in Southwest Ranches so that children with special needs could experience the horse/human and human/human interaction in an environment of learning and self discovery.
